A baby quilt crafted with love

This January we welcomed our little one with lots of happiness and excitement. I ventured into the art of crochet for my elder daughter. I made her a welcome blanket, cap and a headband. Even though making them were wonderful memories, I barely got to use them for her. She outgrew them very soon(why do kids really grow up fast!!!!).

This time I decided to try something new and that I could actually use as she grows. Not just one, I managed to sew two baby quilts. One for our little one and another as a gift for a friend who was also expecting her second child. After reading and watching tons of blogs and videos, I did it!! I also fell in love with the process of quilting.

Simplicity is key. As a beginner in quilting I decided to keep the quilt design simple. I used only basic squares here for both the quilts. Also I decided to add a personal touch by incorporating some embroidery on the quilt I made for my friend.

Crafting a baby quilt is a expression of love, care, and creativity that will keep your baby warm and snug while becoming a cherished keepsake as they grow. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or a first-timer, the process of making a baby quilt is a labor of love that's sure to be treasured for generations to come. So, pick up your fabrics, thread your needle, and start creating a quilt that will cradle your baby in comfort and love. Happy quilting!
